Moda Country Fair Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Moda Country Fair Blog Hop.

Today's featured designer is the sister team of Mary and Barb
from Me and My Sister Designs.
Hop on over and see what FREE project they have to offer.

The quote of the day is:
"In the cookies of life, sisters are the chocolate chips."
Author Unknown

The chocolate chip cookie was accidentally developed by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1930.
She owned the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts,
a popular restaurant that featured Ruth's home cooking.
One day, while preparing a batch of Butter Drop Do cookies,
Ruth cut a bar of Nestlé Semi-Sweet Chocolate into tiny bits
and added them to her dough, expecting them to melt.
Instead, the chocolate held its shape and softened
to a delicately creamy texture.
And that is how the first Nestlé Toll House
Real Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels came to be.
And now you know the rest of the story. (Now there is another quote - Do you know who said this?)

Stop back tomorrow to read the quote of the day and link up with Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms.

Suddenly I am craving chocolate chip cookies.

  1. I don't like chocolate chip cookies.... but I don't have a sister either so maybe that explains it.

  2. I am craving chocolate chip cookies now too!

  4. It's SO nice to finally see a photo of you and learn a little about you. I always look forward to seeing your new lines. AND I LOVE dark chocolate and chocolate chip cookies.

  5. And may I add that in the cookies of life brothers are the nuts

  6. MMMMmmmmm Good! The recipe on the back of the Nestle chocolate chip bag is my husband's very favorite cookie, but only if it's made by me! My mixer can handle 3 batches at once, so I don't have to make them too often. We divide them into 4 freezer bags and take out just one bag at a time. A few seconds in the microwave and they taste like they came fresh out of the oven!

  7. I love chocolate chip cookies and these chips were invented the year my parents were born. Must be time to bake up a batch, need nuts though!

  8. This is wonderful! Thanks for sharing all those memories. I was never in 4-H but oh how I hated that dress I had to make in 7th grade Home Ec - and now I have been sewing for ## years and even sewed professionally for some of those. My how things have changed!

  9. Chocolate Chip cookies ... memories of childhood.

  10. Warm chocolate chip cookies are the best kind. think I need to go make some now!!!!

  11. How does the power of suggestion happen?? I want a chocolate chip cookie also - with cold milk!!

  12. I love that fabric line! I've ordered it before!
