Moda Pillow Talk Day 8

Welcome to day 8 of Moda's Pillow Talk blog hop.

Today's featured designer is the super talented Kate Spain. I love Kate's unique look. She hand draws all of her designs and then takes them into In Design to color them. Sometimes - in my opinion - computer generated art tends to look clip-arty. Not Kate's, her art looks hand painted, polished and wonderful. You may have also seen Kate's works in other places like Target, The Container Store or Crate and Barrel - just to name a few.
And I love her Central Park fabric which is in stores now.
Hop on over to her blog to see what she has to offer today.

Here in Iowa we are headed for yet another bout of below zero temperatures.
I thought I would paint a bright "Springy" picture to cheer things up around here.
I have titled the picture…

I Wish.
I wish the flowers were blooming.
And
I wish I was as talented as the fabulous Kate Spain.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see the painting of the day and link up with the talented Kathy Schmitz.

  6. I LOVE winter and snow but once that is gone I am ready for flowers. We get months of brown-ness which is the worst. Spring takes FORever to get here. Your little flowers are adorable.

  7. You are every bit as talented as Kate Spain - plus you wear funky glasses! Plus you have your own special personality that shines through all your work. Your little paintings have helped keep the dark wolves of winter at bay, thanks for making the effort each day. Maybe a panel commemorating the pillow hop will emerge from all these cute paintings???

  8. Not only are you very talented, you are generous with your talent, your time, and your energy. Thank you for designing fabric that just makes me happy and for patterns that are so much fun to make! You've been such an encouragement to a self-taught new quilter!

  9. You are incredibly talented! Drawing is something I was never any good at - but I've really enjoyed seeing your daily creations. I really appreciated the flowers today, b/c I'm stuck in the bitter cold in Chicago, so I feel your pain!
