Moda Country Fair Blog Hop Day 24

Hello and welcome to day 24 of the Moda Country Fair Blog Hop. Just three more days to go!

Today's featured designer is Kaari Meng of French General
Hop on over to her blog to see what she has designed -
I bet it is something very French.

The quote of the day is:
Paris is always a good idea.
Audrey Hepburn

If you think Paris is a good idea you should sign up for one of Karri's Chateau Getaways.
I have been to one of her getaways. FUN. WONDERFUL. RELAXING.
She is offering 2 getaways next June. Check it out here - go to the Chateau Getaway button.

Below are some pictures from my 2009 Chateau Getaway trip.

Our hosts, L to R. Molly (Kaair's sister) Kick (her mother) and Kaari.

My home for the week - The Chateau Dumas.

The view from my window.

One day we went for a 30 mile walk in the country.
Well okay maybe it was only 3 miles - but I was really out of shape -
so it seemed like 30 miles.
We walked by many fields of sunflowers - oh so beautiful.

Cherries at a farmer's market.

Cheryl the Director of Design for Moda,
standing in front of a fine example of French blue shutters and French lace.

At one of our workshops we dyed white cotton with woad.

A visit to a French hat factory.
Loved it!

We attended a flea market.
Very fun.
But what amazed me was how they all stopped - yes shut down
for lunch. And this is the kind of lunches they had - and on real dishes.
No paper plates or fast food here.
Don't you wish we could eat like this at quilt market.
We can only dream.

And of course you cannot go to France without visiting this.
Yes Audrey, Paris is always a good idea.

Stop by tomorrow for the quote of the day and hook up with Lisa from Primitive Gatherings.
