Today's featured designer is Bonnie Olaveson from Cottonway.
Hop on over to her blog and check out what she has designed for you.
At a recent market I was admiring Bonnie's cute shoes with low heels. This led to a discussion about how we can no longer wear the killer high heels that they are showing right now. I love shoes especially pumps. It is sad that all of the cute ones have way too high of heels. The ones that are low tend to look...well
"old lady". So today I thought I would paint a picture of a pair of pumps that I wish I could wear.
I have titled this picture…
But there is hope.
I strolled through the Nordstrom shoe department
the other day and noticed that they were showing quite a
few lower heels - cute ones - not old lady ones.
I have my eye on a pair of pink ones.

In my next life, I want to design shoes.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see the painting of the day and link up with the talented Joanna from Fig Tree & Co,

THose ARE killer pumps! In more ways than one. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good day, Sandy. We are iced in again here in PA. You are the only one on my desktop who is keeping up everyday - you are the best! I love your little paintings. JEALOUS of your talent! On the topic of shoes, maybe we have Michelle Obama to thank for lower heels coming back into style. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Killer Heels. I remember the day back in corporate life when I would go to Belk every week to see the new heels they had. I have only kept a very few favorites that I couldn't part with and try them on every once in awhile..but hey, what's wrong with sneakers really! Love the pic. The colors are awesome.

I'm not a shoe person (just a funky glasses person now!) so I can't tell if it's worthwhile, but I just thought I'd share.
Love all your paintings!
ReplyDeleteThese heels are GRRREAT!
Awesome! I've been looking for the perfect shade of red heels forever and finally found yesterday. Unfortunatley, they were about as high as these look! No thanks! Love the mini again!
ReplyDeletethere's NO way I could even stand up in HIGH heels.
ReplyDeleteHold on - I'll go get my sneakers. That's a suggestion for one of your small paintings...SNEAKERS (or as some people call them - tennis shoes). They sure make them FUN now.
Oh boy! I don't think I'd last too long in those "spikes". Pretty color tho'.
