Moda Pillow Talk Day 10

Welcome to day 10 of Moda's Pillow Talk blog hop. Into double digits already.

Today's featured designer is Camille Roskelly.
Do you know what I most covet about Camille?
You might say her wonderful color palette or her simple but striking quilt patterns. I do admire all of those things, but what I want most of Camille's is her flawless skin.
All of those lovely, flawless pictures of her in Moda ads and in her very popular book,
Simplify (#6 on Amazons Best of 2010 list)?
Yep that is all Camille - no need to take the pictures into Photoshop for a little tweaking - the skin is perfect.
Hop on over to her blog to see the pillow she has designed.

For today's subject I wanted to paint a pretty girl with flawless skin wearing a red polka dot dress.
Problem is I did not have much luck achieving pretty.
So instead I have painted a chair that I am sure Camille would like to sit upon.
(In fact I think she has a chair upholstered in this same fabric.)
I have titled today's picture...

Sitting Pretty.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see the painting of the day and link up with the sister design team of Me and My Sister.

  1. Your art work has been so fun to see everyday! I can't wait to see them all put together. What are you going to do with them when the Pillow talk is over?

  2. That would be the perfect chair to sit in by the fire on these cold winter days and get some handwork done! I love the legs on that chair too...do you design furniture?

  3. Camille is sat next to her "sitting pretty" chair in the same polka dot jammies in her post today.

    Perfect little painting for her.

    hugs.

  5. While I was straightening up my sewing room this week, I found a picture of your real couch upholstered in a quilt, I think from AP&Q. I've kept it for years because I think it's such a great idea!

  6. Another adorable little painting perfectly suited for the day. What will we do without these vignettes when the blog hop is over? Sandy, IMO you are pretty darn hard-working and loyal.

  8. OMG, I want a chair like that! I agree, Camille does have very pretty skin. She's also 20 years younger than I am, at least!

  11. Sheesh, I'm blushing... Thanks Sandy!

Love your chair, and I'm willing to bet you didn't have to get a tetanus shot while you were painting it? One more reason it is better than my chair. ;-) I think that little painting needs to come live in my studio. So, so cute.

    See you soon!
