Fall-o-ween Blog Hop Day 6

Welcome to Day 6 of the Quilt Designer's Fall-o-ween Blog Hop.

Today's blog will be brief.

Because of yesterday's website "glitches" I am currently at the Funny Farm.

I am sharing a padded stall with this guy.
He is hogging all of the space and standing in my light.
And the Internet here at the farm is iffy.
But supposedly my new site should now be running properly.
SHOULD being the key word.
That said let me get to today's post.
Today's featured designer is the very cute Heather from Anka's Treasures

Hop on over to her blog to she what great project she has created for you.
Today's topic is Decorating.
Due to my cold, launching my website and the hop,
I have had very little time to do any fall decorating.

As soon as there is a chill in the air
I head to our local pumpkin farm
to purchase my pumpkins and gourds.

Oh how I love orange…

And even more than orange ….red orange.
I will plop a pumpkin just about anyplace

I like to let them spill out of my "cornucopia",
also know as old phonograph parts.

In my yelloware bowls.

On top of my 'artsy thing".

On top of my silver vases.

I sometime adorn the pumpkins with things like ric rac…

and acorns and wire.

I drag out the fall "stuff" and decorate the mantel.

I change out the everyday art for the "Fall" art.

I painted the jack-o-lantern on this old orange and black checkerboard.

This is one of my favorite Fall items.
Just a simple pumpkin painted on a bowl.
I never fill this bowl as I don't want to hide the art.

Now hop on along to the other designer's blog to see what fabulous decorating they have done.

Comment on all 10 blogs and be eligible for our grand prize.

As for me, I am hoping I will be leaving the Funny Farm tomorrow and heading back home.

  17. The theme is decorating in our house today...well according to my 7 year old that is messing with black paper and scissors...I can only imagine what's she's making....a mess I'm sure! LOL

  18. Thanks for all the fun ideas for decorating. It will be fun incorporating some of the great ideas inside & outside my home that all of you are showing. Hoping you feel much much better soon so you can really enjoy this wonderful time of the year.

  19. Hope you have a great day - thanks for the great pictures

  20. Enjoy your stay at the funny farm. Someday you may wish you were back there again! At least your stall partner looks soft and cozy!

Love that pumpkin bowl...I wouldn't fill it either!

  21. I love mini pumpkins! The pumpkins in my garden are all medium sized but my favorites are the minis.

  22. Your fall decorations are wonderful!

  23. LOL!!! I can totally relate to your funny farm issues. I feel there is never enough time in the day. I love your decorating ideas. Thank You for sharing!

  24. You have such gorgeous fall items.

  25. Love the decorated pumpkins. I never decorate or carve mine. I try and take 3 different sizes and cut a chunk out of the back (leave the seeds in) and set in the yard for the squirls. Within a couple of weeks, they are empty husks and the wildlife has a treat.

  26. Ric rac on a pumpkin! That looks really cute and sweet!

  27. Your "Funny Farm" quilt was such fun. I have really enjoyed this blog hop. Seeing all the colors, the decorations, the projects, etc. It's just great!

  28. I love the pumpkin painted on the old checkerboard. It's a simple idea, but so cute. And I love the white pumpkins in the silver candlesticks. Kind of ethereal looking.
