Welcome to Day 10 of the Quilt Designer's Fall-o-ween Blog Hop.
Today's featured designer is Pat Sloan of Pat Sloan's Designs.
I don't know of anyone who has more going on than Pat.
She has 2 hops going on at once. I can't seem to handle one
Today's subject is quilts.
When I saw the topic I decided I would string a clothesline from tree to tree to tree in our yard and hang all of my Fall quilts on the line.
Doesn't it sound like it would be a fabulous photo op?
I thought so.
Well you will just have to imagine how cool that would have been.
Why you ask?
Well I could blame it on my nasty cold that will not go away.
I could blame it on the fact that I am snowed under at work generating quilts for market.
I could blame the dog...he ate the quilts. ???
I could blame it on the fact that before I knew it...it was dark outside.
But truth be known, I just did not get it done.
I guess I will file that idea in the "Things I want to get done someday".
Below are some of the quilts that I was going to hang on my clothesline.
Dog Leg Left
Pineapple Pie
Falling Leaves
Jitters
Super Stars
Happy Jack
Running Scared
Fall Foliage
This quilt is in my "Things I want to get done someday".
Featured in the October issue of American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine.
Designed by Lissa Alexander,
aka Director of Marketing Moda Fabrics, aka Moda Lissa.
This quilt is in "I am coveting this quilt" file.
It hangs in Laurie Simpson's dining room.
Not fair, I want it in my dining room.
Hop from blog to blog to see what the other designer have to say about quilts.
They probably have really cool pictures.
Overachievers.
GE Designs, Pieces of My Heart, Atkinson Designs, Pat Sloan, Anka's Treasures,
New Leaf Stitches, Whimsicals, Miss Rosies,
Rosebud's Cottage, Linda Lum DeBono.
When you finish your projects take a picture.
Use this link to post the pictures on Flickr for all of us to see.

I journeyed into blogland just a few months ago.....WHOW!!! What have I been missing all these years. I joined Debi's Fall-into-fall Giveaway and I am in "awe" and completely overwhelmed about blogland. If you find a minute and I know you have a gazillion emails to read please stop by and say HI...I would be honored and thrilled. If you can't I will understand completely.
Thank you so much for taking the time to participate in this Fall-O-Ween Blog Hop.

I love.Love.LOVE the Dog Left Dog quilt! Wow. It is really stunning. And the Pineapple is a close second favorite. But the Dog....LOVE it. :)
ReplyDelete:::Blush::: Of COURSE I meant, Dog Leg Left... still gushing over how amazing it is, even with the wrong name. :)
ReplyDeleteSandy, I saved your blog intentionally to be "last" to peak at on the Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteWanted to tell you that no one beats your Fall fabrics. Not only do the "small quilters" like myself adore and use your Fall fabrics, but I see time and time again where "designers" use your Fall fabrics....case in point - today both Terry and Heather have quilt photos using your Fall fabrics.
This season alone, I have made FOUR wall quilts using Gobble Gobble that I purchased on sale "after season" last year. And to be honest - I still have a FQ bundle I'm hoarding of it.
I've already purchased Awesome to do a Layer Cake Quilt Along.
Thank you, Sandy - for your fabric lines, your quilt patterns (which I use ALOT), your blog, your newly revised website and sharing your creativity with the world.
We are ALL blessed that you share so kindly of your talents.
Thank you Sandy - for all your Quilt photos today and the Blog Hop which I have truly enjoyed.
Happy Fall.
Beautiful, beautiful quilts.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is one made from scraps of my childrens' clothing collected over 18 years...yes, lots of scraps and several moves. The kids enjoy looking for their favourite scrap from their first day of schoold dress, a party dress, etc.
Darn, that cold just won't stop. Are you taking fish oil (yummy!) ?
ReplyDeleteI can envision your lovely quilts in the leaf dappled sunshine blowing ever so slightly in the breeze.
Thanks for the lovely picture.

I have had the pleasure of using your fabric many times but in following the Fall theme, you should check out the quilt I made using your Gobble Gobble line:

Thanks Sandy! Although I have made Super Stars, I could easily covet some of your other projects, so all is fair, is it not? And, for me, you are also in that "over achiever" column :) And, yes Laurie Simpson's quilt on her dining room wall is spectacular so I would be right there with you to get that one! Anyway, you ALL did a spectacular job on the blog hop and I loved every minute of it.
