Hello all,
Is it gloomy or bright in your corner of the world? Unfortunately, it is still winter here in Iowa. It is brown, gray and gloomy. My only escape from the gloom was the fact that for the past two weeks I have been painting out a bright and cheery line of fabric.
I cut flowers out of the color swatches to brighten up the dull atmosphere.

I cut flowers out of the color swatches to brighten up the dull atmosphere.
I have named the colors:
Watermelon, Orange Crush, Key Lime Pie,
Blueberry Slush, Licorice and Vanilla Cream.
I must say they do brighten up my little corner of the world.
I have named the line Sassy.
A lot of painting.
My fingers still hurt…
or did I mean my toes???
Here is a sneak peek of the panel.
It also comes with a blue background.
This panel has a different twist from the rest of my panels.
Most of my panels can be incorporated into a quilt.
You would have to be very creative to
incorporate this into a quilt.
I'm just say'n.
And that is all I will tell you.
Stay tuned.
Unfortunately, it will be a year before you
know as this fabric will ship March 2012.
Hope your day is anything but dull, gray and gloomy.
From my heart,
Sandy
very pretty colors, looks like they will play nice with some other lines I have of yours!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! The colors are beautiful!!!! I just can't believe we have to wait a whole year!! So cruel but maybe its good-I can save up for an actual fat quarter bundle :)

It's always fun to get a good "tease".

LOVE IT!!! Oh when will this gem of a collection ship? It is a must have in our Sandy room!!! Will we see it in Salt Lake??? I will be there.
ReplyDeleteI've got a little bit of sun in my part of the world, clouds though too. And more rain for this coming week....Looks like this is going to be another cheerful, lovely line!
ReplyDeleteWe have a nice, sunny day in Wisconsin, but we need it to melt the ton of snow still left on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI love your Sassy fabrics! I just bought a bunch of Lovely to brighten things up. My guild is having a sew-in next Saturday and I can't wait to make something Lovely.
Wow!! What a fantastic fabric line it will make. You are truely a talented designer. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou would have to be very creative to
ReplyDeleteincorporate this into a quilt.
That just sounds like a challenge!!
Lovely range, I love how people who are more creative than me can create colour combinations that I would think were horrible together but I love the end result!
Just beautiful! You are so talented. Cute name too. Sassy. I like it.
ReplyDeleteoh, your poor toes ... sounds like they need a new pair of shoes and a pedi for all their hard work! lol Beautiful line and very intriguing sneak peak at your panel ... cool!
ReplyDeleteSmoky here in OK today because of grass fires. So a little bit of bright colors helped cheer my day. Can hardly wait til it comes out A YEAR FROM NOW!
ReplyDeletePS Please check out my blog to see what I brightend my house with this week.
ReplyDeleteBrightened my day even if it is still summery here in Melbourne!
ReplyDeleteWell, here in Northern California it was gloomy and windy and rainy yesterday then today Spring happened and I was actually sweating while working on roses...so we never quite know what the day will be like, but it is an overall good mix kind of like adding grays to a colorful quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm from east central Iowa and currently live outside Chicago. It is grey, gloomy, and windy here. Both my kids have March birthdays and we've had all kinds of weather on the big days - 75 degrees and sunny with the smell of spring in the air or grey and snowy (and the kids sick of sledding). I LOVE this line and will be on the lookout for it next March - maybe it will be the quilt fabric for my daughter's birthday quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors - very nice and they play well with others. Spring has sprung here in NC - trying to send it along to all the other gray and gloomy areas. Look for it. Judy C www.shadetreequilting.com
ReplyDeleteGreat paper play to make that bouquet! Nice bright and happy colors, definitely Sassy. Excellent toe work there :)
ReplyDeleteIt is mostly bright here in SoCalif and the trees and flowers are blooming, the strawberries are being harvested and gardens planted, but the season of near daily fog will be upon us soon. Late spring and summer is our May Gray, June Gloom, and July No Blue Sky...but at least there is no snow!
Another great line. The waiting is the hard part. Going to LOVE the blacks in this line!
ReplyDeleteShelley
