ReplyDeleteI'm so excite.tomorrow is the day!! Yahoo, let's go.
ReplyDeleteI have loved your fabrics and patterns for years and now I feel as though I know you, too. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteI was 4H and loved it. I remember a green wool suit I won a state competition with - also, learned I was allergic to wool! I "kept at it!" I only wore the suit for judging.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Love your bag pattern. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteVery cute purse, Sandy!! Emily and I both love your all your fabric too!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love free projects!
ReplyDeleteI went to the Minnesota State Fair 2 times this year, only had 1 bite of a corndog, though. I love the fair! dianemrose@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI was in 4H many years ago..still have my book with pics and fair ribbons - what fun! Love your designs! Dee
ReplyDeleteI was in 4-H so very long ago, learned alot and had lots of fun. Thanks for the purse pattern, a must do. Never have enough bags. Your fabric designs are among my very favorite.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was in 4-H too; learned much while sewing garments and the best was getting the ribbon to go to 'State' with my garment. The Blog Hop is a great idea--Thanks, Nancy G.
ReplyDeleteI was in 4-H. Made a blue wool dress. Rode on the float during the parade. What memories! Thanks for your lovely fabrics and patterns. Peg
ReplyDeleteI started 4H when I was 10 and that was when I fell in love with sewing. We learned so many things,I wish the 4H was as popular in our area today as it was 50 years ago the skills will last a life time.
ReplyDeleteI wan not in 4H, a city girl. Our ASG group did help the 4H members to learn to sew. What a great idea, an online fair. Cute purse. Thanks, but I couldn't print, couldn't save. Is there a secret? Lillian
ReplyDeleteYour memory of working on your 4-H project in the wee hours remind me of a green wool dress I was making for 4-H. Things were pretty tense as the lining would not cooperate. My nephew (probably 3 or 4) came over and in a sweet voice said, "Are you having problems, Nancy?" His words provided a much needed emotional release. The dress was finished by the deadline, but wearing it always reminded me of my nephew's compassion.
ReplyDeleteI was active in 4-H for fifteen years (cooking, sewing, knitting, home improvement, and junior leader).
What a fun way to start out fall quilting - new fabrics and projects. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI was not in 4H but wish I had known about it. Love your designs and blog. thanks for the pattern
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute purse. Thanks for the pattern.
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute. Thanks so much for the purse pattern. Looking forward to reading all the blogs.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics. I have made several of the patterns using charms
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating. I love your fabrics.

ReplyDeleteLove the shoulder bag, will be making a couple of them.
ReplyDeleteNot a 4-H'er, but have been sewing for a long time, thanks to help from my Mom.
Mary
Would love to win. Thanks for the bloghop. I never was in 4-H but I loved Home Ec. ;)
ReplyDeleteCute bag and cute fabric! No 4-H for me, but I do love a good fair and fair food. When else can you justify the calories?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the cute pattern! We did not have 4H in Arizona back in the olden days but our 5 kids were in 4H and I recall the tears and last minute rush competing with baseball season! I still have Molly's lady bug pin cushion and Meredith's miniature quilt made with cheater fabric!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your giveaway. I would love to win some of your fabric because it is always so fresh looking. And the video was fun to watch, wish I could have seen you in person. No 4 H for me, my school was too urban I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the bag pattern! In 4-H I entered clothing and food. Along with showing horses and raising sheep! Loved 4-H!
ReplyDeleteI was never in 4-H but I learned alot from those that were! It's all about sharing, huh? Thank you for your wonderful pattern!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, 4-H! Won blue ribbons from fairs through the years I was a member. Our group only did sewing. My first project was a dark green corduroy beanbag with appliqued white 4-H symbol and couple years later, a blouse and skirt that I had to model. The skirt was several yards, gathered, and I swore I would never hem another one! Then I had 3 daughters...sewing was a necessity! And now I quilt--and love every minute!
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric and my favorite color is red too!
ReplyDeleteBetty
loved the country fairs as a teen. Your fabrics are so lovely.. inspires lots of ideas.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the bag pattern! I have never been to your blog before - I look forward to exploring it in detail. I have never seen your fabric where I am in Europe but it looks very cheerful and bright.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I'm doing this correctly, but this hop looks mighty interesting!
ReplyDeleteI love collecting fabric! this would be a nice addition to my stash. I wasn't a 4-H member, but my children were and I was talked into doing a couple of cross-stitch "classes" and a lot of chaperoning.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a country fair nor eaten food on a stick, except in an Asian restaurant. But I love your designs! Thanks for the good work.
ReplyDeleteWanted to be in 4h as a kid, but mom preferred girl scouts...doing 4h with my kids...hope one of them gets the quilting bug!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the bag pattern and the give away.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric. No 4h for me, but I would have loved it, had it been offered. We have a special corn dog here called the state fair corn dog. I get one every year. It is so yummy. It starts out my fall season perfectly. Thanks for the pattern. Take care.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI was in 4-H also I remember making a bedspread for my twin bed. It was quilted fabric, white with little purple flowers. I made curtains with white and purple fabric.
I might just make that little purse I love hands free shopping!!
Julie
I was in 4-H and my mother was the club leader. I remember making clothing, entering it in the local county fair and actually winning some ribbons.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pattern. I'm going to the L.A. County Fair on Sept. 17th. I'll try and make the bag and take it with me.
ReplyDeleteThank you again. This should be fun.
I was never in 4-H, but my first year of teaching, I taught in a country schoolhouse where I had an entire grade each period of the day! When it was time for planting or harvesting, I would only have one or two students in a class...everyone else had to help with the harvest. I loved seeing their 4 -H projects!
ReplyDeleteBecca
I was never in 4-H but my children are now! I may be taking over our county's "Needle and Thread" division. Need to decide if I have time for it.
ReplyDeleteLove your bag pattern! It certainly beats taking a purse to county fairs. Thanks for the giveaway and can't wait to see what your quote will be tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics. They seem to work for everyone.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteNot sure what 4H is but I have always had fabric, wool, and needle in my hand since I was 4. Genetics I think. Of all the genes to get from my parents, I am very glad to have this one. What else would I do with my days other than quilting
Love the little bag. It will be perfect for the essentials at Houston Quilt Festival.
ReplyDeleteI didn't do 4H but when I stayed at my grandparent's farm in Kansas I often got to enter something in the fair. It was alot of fun. Good memories!
ReplyDeleteyou come up with such cute stuff.
ReplyDeleteSandi
Love the fair...I was in 4-H as a young girl, now I am helping my sons with their 4-H livestock animals...love it!

ReplyDeleteLinda
I was in 4-H for several years when I was younger - I don't really remember what I took, but I think sewing and woodworking were involved...
