All 3 of my kids have been in 4-H. Such a great organization for youth. I was a leader for 6 years and have been a volunteer for over 15 years. Lots of summers spent working on projects, going to the state fair. Only missed 2 years in the last 20 years. Love your fabrics!! They of...My 4H experience is small for a city girl. They offered a summer class at our local elementary when I was young. We made jewelry and learned to cook. My mother is a fantastic cook. She made our bread and well everything was homemade growing up. I think she hoped the class would give me some interest in cooking. (sorry mom didnt help much) They taught nobake cookies. When my parents left on friday night my friends and I thought we could make the no bake cookies. Whoa they were a disaster. We kept trying to double the recipe because of a measuring mistake. Oh my mom came to regret 4H. I did learn to sew from my grandmother and my friends and I would sit on the patio of our house and sew Barbie fashions and design dream houses out of shoe boxes and a Sears catalog. Cigar boxes were coveted items back then for closets for our Barbies.
